How to get a fake call on Android without installing an app

Short answer

Open needacall.com in Chrome, tap the ⋮ menu, choose Add to Home screen (or Install app), then open the new “Memo” icon. Triple-tap anywhere and your phone shows a realistic incoming call. It’s free, with no Play Store download and no account.

On Android, vibration works well: vibrate-only buzzes in a real ringing pattern. The app still has to be open on your screen to ring.

Set it up in two minutes

  1. Open needacall.com in Chrome.
  2. Tap the ⋮ menu in the top-right corner and choose Add to Home screen or Install app. Confirm.
  3. Open the new “Memo” icon. It opens full screen with no address bar.
  4. Choose a disguise: a chat app if you’ll hold your phone, a black screen if it’ll sit on the table.
  5. Choose who calls: Mom, your boss, a friend, or any name and photo.
  6. Test it once. Triple-tap anywhere; decline the call to go back.

Android vs iPhone

Everything works the same on both, with one difference: Android browsers can vibrate in a full ringing pattern, while on iPhone vibrate-only is a single short buzz. Setting up on iPhone? See the iPhone guide.
